Hogg, who had been originally from international cricket four years ago, made a comeback to the national team through last summer’s Big Bash League and was the part of Australian team in the two-match home T20 series against India in February.
The squad is same that was chosen for the three Twenty20 matches against Pakistan in United Arab Emirates on September 5, 7 and 10.
Dirk Nannes. Aaron Finch, Ryan Harris, Steve Smith and Mitchell Johnson, who all were the named in 30-man provisional squad, failed to find room in final fifteen.
Victoria off-spinner Glenn Maxwell is the only uncapped player in the squad, which will be captained by George Bailey.
“A real strength of the squad is its flexibility and versatility,” the national selector John Inverarity said. “It’s a well-balanced side that will provide the captain, George Bailey, with plenty of options in both the batting line-up and bowling possibilities.
“The ICC World Twenty20 promises to be a very exciting event as T20 cricket is so unpredictable. Our squad will be well prepared and we look forward to them playing some outstanding cricket and acquitting themselves especially well.”
Australia are drawn in group B with West Indies and Ireland. The top two teams in each group will qualify for the knockout stage.
